Those of you involved in cutting edge research can understand the mix of feeling we get when our work finally gets some mainstream attention.

This recent, syndicated story about our latest offering, Porn for New Moms, announces the startling finding that, “studies show that men who take on household tasks may reap the benefits of “choreplay.”

Here at that Cambridge Women’s Pornography Cooperative, our proprietary research has been turning out results that make this point for years [porn for women cover—link]. And after ripping off our lab coats and shouting our findings from our ivory towers, it seems that small, enlightened segments of the media are finally paying attention. (Climate change scientists: we feel your pain!)

We found this nice review of Porn for New Moms in the pages of a recent edition of Glamour. Best of all, we thought, was the great little discussion that ensued. To all the new moms who posted: thanks for sharing the ideas, and we promise the massage, the sitter and the hotel reservations in Cancun are on us, if any of your ideas get adopted for a future title. (ha ha)

That’s right. The Cambridge Women’s Pornography Cooperative has just released it’s latest set of findings, all compiled in a neat, little 88-page report we call, Porn for New Moms.

Granted, the results of this research initiative are heavy on photos and light on the text, but hey, our lab coats are as white as the National Science Foundation’s. And, our peer-review committee consists of tens of thousands of moms. Take that, NIH!

Never a dull day at the Cambridge Women’s Pornography Cooperative (CWPC). Driven by demand for our first book, Porn for Women, the CWPC lab is running at full tilt as our team analyzes the reams of data collected from our most recent study, Porn for New Moms. Hot stuff! (Stay tuned: We’ll publish those findings in the spring.)

With that knowledge in hand, we’ve begun research for Phase 3 of the Porn for Women analysis. We know everyone wants different things, so we’re asking a brand new batch of recruits to tell us what really turns them on - and we need you!
