I don’t think the books would sell very well if they used unattractive men.

At the moment the books contain a wonderful diversity of men of different ages, ethnic groups and body types that works well to cater for most womens fantasies.

I don’t beleive that using attractive men in the photos detracts from the supportive and loving messages in the text in any way.

Also, I really love that this post focuses so much on the personality of the men in question. I’d like to add Jaoquin Phoenix to the list, as he’s an incredible actor, an animal rights advocate and has done incredibly well considering his horrific upbringing in the ‘Children of God’ cult.

I know this guy. In my opinion he is a complete and total a-hole. The photo flatters him, and this article doesn’t even begin to unearth the unfortunate personality underneath.

To me, this post and the whole beefcake approach in your publications misunderstand and undermine the whole anti-objectification message that relationships are based in sharing, loving, and supporting one another. My man is much better than me at housework; to me, this is a way he supports and loves me, but it has been a couple decades since he had the looks you want for your publications–most unfortunate! You talk a great talk, but I’d like to see you walk the walk.

I sent this book to a gentleman friend back East. He reports that he was carrying the book about with such devotion, his colleagues were asking him if it was his bible. Then he showed it to them, and the whole office was in stitches.

This is ridiculous. I just took your quiz and it certainly doesn’t allow for normal answers. And the results of the quiz were a joke. Let’s get down to real basics … I don’t care about flowers, I do care about having good sex and I’d far prefer a man who takes care of my physical needs than someone who brings me a bunch of flowers that I then have to find a vase for, change water everyday, etc. And if he cooks me a meal, the choices are veggie burger or lamb that will kill me? You guys are totally out of touch with mature women who recognize that men have every right to leave the toilet seat up — excuse me, how many women put the toilet seat up when they are done? Why should men put it down? I don’t get it. My son taught me that one. Get in touch, people. We’ve evolved further than this thing recognizes.
